Symfony is a set of PHP Components, a Web Application framework, a Philosophy, and a Community — all working together in harmony. It is developed by SensioLabs, a French professional services provider and software developer and is released under the MIT License.
Symfony is becoming popular for many open source projects (Laravel, Drupal, eZ Publish, etc.). In this context, the community of developers and contributors has been multiplied and they offer many modules and countless self-help pages.
Among the existing PHP development tools, Symfony proves to be one of the most simple and efficient at the time. The code is particularly modular: the framework is a set of bundles that everyone is free to use or not, the community is constantly developing new bundles. The framework of SensioLabs therefore proposes standards so as not to have to reinvent the wheel and respond quickly to a multitude of needs. Applications are more structured and follow a common "philosophy". The resumption of the code by new teams is greatly simplified. Whether you are a developer, project manager or DSI, it will be difficult not to hear about this framework. So stay tuned to Symfony!
